WHY ARE YOU APPOINTMENT ONLY?
I am appointment only so that I can maintain excellent customer service with my clients. I am a mobile only beauty service that provides nail & beauty services across Birmingham & Solihull. It is very rare that I will take on same day appointments so please book in advance.

I am a mobile service that covers these areas:

WHAT IS CALGEL?
Calgel is a one step builder gel nail system that has built its reputation on being easy to use that you can soak off, infill & can last up to six weeks.

It is vegan, cruelty-free and 5-free and allows gases to pass through without interfering with nail bed metabolism.

It is flexible and available in over 100 shades, plus it can be used on tips or as a natural overlay and can even be used to sculpt with!
WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND FOR THE LONGEVITY OF MY MANICURE?
This advice goes for any type of manicure you go for whether it be, a gel overlay, gel manicure or even a regular polish manicure. Nails are jewels, not tools, so look after them.

Here are a few of our top tips:

Keep up to date with your nail appointments. Not keeping up with them, you'll have the tendency to pick at your nails & could cause damage. Your natural nail care is important to us!

Use cuticle oil daily. We recommend iZ cuticle oil from Izabelle Hammon, which we do sell at Beauty by Eme.

Use gloves whilst doing your household duties. Protect those jewels on your hand!

If you decide to have a little break from any nail treatments, be sure to apply cuticle oil and strengthener. To ensure extra strength we also provide a brand new treatment that has come to Beauty by Eme called the IBX treatment. It works within the nail unlike strengthening nail bases that only work on the surface. For more info contact us here
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CALGEL, GEL AND REGULAR POLISH?

Calgel is a builder gel that you can use to sculpt and infill and you can get up to 6 weeks of wear out of it (with proper care). It is best for those who have weaker nails and/or tougher with their hands.

Gel polish like Shellac for example, is a hybrid between a gel & a regular polish. It is a thinner consistency to Calgel, but doesn't mean you won't have longetivity. It is best for those that have naturally strong nails. It can last up to 10-14 days and has to be soaked off each time.
WHAT WAXING SYSTEM DO YOU USE?
At Beauty by Eme, we use Sienna X wax in both strip and non-strip waxes.

We NEVER double-dip as hygiene is of upmost importance to us.

We only use hot wax on intimate areas, and for facial waxing (except brows - unless requested). The reason we do this as it is more gentle to these delicate areas and the skin.
WHY DO I HAVE TO GET A PATCH TEST PRIOR TO MY BROW/LASH SERVICE?
We will not carry out any brow or lash services if you have not come for a patch test at least 48 hours prior to your treatment. It is against our insurance policy and we want to ensure safety for you and therapist.
